McGregor cordless lawnmower battery or charger has gone faulty within guarantee period. Advised by Argos (chat) I need contact them (McGregor) by phone. Nine people in queue this morning, so left until afternoon. Phoned in afternoon 6 people in queue, waited 30 min listening to awful music. I was at no 1 in queue for ages, then call was cut by them - said nobody to take your call, call back later. I phoned Argos to complain, staff member said she would call them to check this, she put me on hold for about 10-15 mins while she called them herself, she then came back on the phone, transferred the call to me and said I would just have to wait - before I could protest, she cut me off. Did wait again for about another half hour and McGregor cut the call again a few mins after I had waited in position 1 -same message again - phone back later as can’t answer your call. Furious at this point. Called Argos again and another staff member who also phoned them whilst I was on hold saying he had to check this too. He waited 10-15 mins and said he couldn’t get through either. He then advised I would need to put my complaint in writing to them. Wouldn’t even give a email in this day and age!! McGregor is owned by Argos - but they can’t help you and their guarantees are clearly useless. Spent approx 2 hours on the phone today & still no further forward. This is my 3rd cordless McGregor product, other 2 are fine, never had a problem - but just be wary of how you will be treated if you do have a faulty McGregor/Argos product.
Absolutely shocking awful customer service. Will never buy an appliance from argos again. My tunmble dryer broke down after 6 months, It took nearly an hour on the phone to arrange an engineer visit which was 3 weeks away. Engineer never turned up, and I lost a days pay as self employed waiting for them. another hour on the phone only to be told they couldnt get the part needed for the error code displayed on the machine so they cancelled the appt (without telling me) they then said I had to call another number to request a new machine. No apology or any empathy for lost time or income, very flippant and matter of fact about the whole thing. another hour on the phone with constantly being asked to select options where I had to type in postcodes and order numbers multiple times. Finally got through to someone who said my email address did not match the order number?? I only have one email address! when I said I wanted to speak to senior member of staff to make a complaint she hung up!!

The cup was out of stock for multiple months however when I became in stock the experience was 55
I’ve had the most appalling service from Argos! I can’t be bothered to go into all the things that went wrong! I’ve wasted enough of my precious time on them already, but everything should be logged on their system. I am still awaiting a call back reference compensation which I was promised would be considered once my transaction had been completed! Well that was 2 weeks ago and surprise, surprise, no-one has bothered to contact me!! Let’s see if this review will encourage a response?!

I bought a TV, it broke after just 2 months of use. Argos sent a repair company to take a look, they took the TV and after a week said they couldn't fix it. I agreed to a replacement TV. I didn't hear from them for another week, called them and found out the same model of TV is no longer available. I agreed to pay extra and receive a better one. On delivery day the drivers would not leave me the new TV without collecting the broken one, which was still with the repair team, which I did tell Argos at the time of buying the new TV. Delivery and collection was rescheduled to Monday. In the mean time I got sick of dealing with Argos, bought a TV elsewhere and called to get a refund. Argos assured me that they would cancel the delivery of the new TV and would leave the collection of the broken one in place. Today, on the scheduled collection day I called to find out what time they would arrive only to find out collection was cancelled and I would have to wait until another week from now. TLDR: On numerous occasions I waited for a delivery or collection from Argos for nothing. They have bad internal communication between 3 different departments, which resulted in my time wasted and I'm tired of it.
I have had to make 7 phone calls, initially when Imade aan online purchase & after when I cancelled the order. Trying to actually speak to a human being & trust that the information they were giving you was terrible. I literally heard all the time, press this, press that & when I spke to someone they were not at all reasurring & I have no faith in their so called customer services. Like many companies its all becoming automated to save money & in this cas even using the chaat to us service was painful to the point Ii gave up. I have literally spent about 3 hours in total dealing with this so I do not recommend Argos online or their so called customer ervices at aall.
