I travelled up to London today to visit the Cheaney shop in Jermyn Street today. I phoned yesterday to enquire about about the sizes available in two particular pairs of ladies shoes and spoke to Salma who was incredibly helpful and pulled out all the stops to have the shoes available and ready for me to try. On arrival I was greeted with a happy smile and by name, always a great start! Salma explained how we would proceed, was knowledgeable about the correct fit and was delightful. One very happy customer arrived home with one pair of beautiful shoes and one pair of beautiful boots that feel wonderful on my feet and so much more comfortable than any other shoes I’ve bought. Well worth the trek from rural Sussex to London! I’m looking forward to my next visit in the autumn.

I bought the Cairngorm II C Veldtschoen derby in black grain in G (wide) fit. This was essential as I like my shoes a little wider. Great quality and leather. One thing, I would recommend, is the change of shoe laces, as those provided by Cheaney are of low quality. Also, I need to consider the materials of my socks before wearing them, because if I wear merino wool socks, the grip between the insoles and the socks is awful. Overall, very happy with my purchase.

As the pedals in our car are closer together than other vehicles, Husband required 'driving specific' shoes which had a slightly slimmer profile but which didn't compromise on fit. Found the exact requirement at Cheaney Shoes, via their website. Although the product was more than I had intended to pay, the quality was outstanding & the end result was a perfect fit. Beautifully crafted leather which does so much more than the purpose for which they were designed. Thank you Cheaney Shoes for craftsmanship that still exists. Honestly Cheaney Shoes doesn’t even deserve 1 star 😡 Very poor customer service! Order a £450 pair of Hurricane boots that were shown as in stock, after about 5 days I had to chase them only to be told they were retrieving them from a store, why not send them directly??? Anyway they turned up after a week with heavy marks on the toe caps and creases in the leather, obviously a display pair. Not what you’d expect for such a premium price! I’m currently waiting for my refund which they don’t seem in any hurry to return 😡 Update!!! Your reply is a bit of a WHOPPER!!! Royal Mail actually showed you received the return on Thursday the 18th not the 22nd, and as of the 23rd I still haven’t received a refund confirmation! As for slipped through a blind man’s guide dog could have seen the marks on these boots! These were clearly shop soiled and your trying to tell me no one in your shop or supply chain "once" took a glance ! And thought Oooo! They’re not up to standard!!! BS!!!!
Fabulous pair of boots. Comfortable straight out of the box, with no breaking in needed. Great colour and they work with so many styles of clothes. I’m very happy with my purchase.
