Disappointing Experience: Misleading Product Listing and Poor Customer Service at Fonez
My experience with Fonez regarding the purchase of Apple AirPods Pro was unfortunately disappointing. I initially visited the Galway store on April 30th, hoping to purchase the AirPods Pro, but they were out of stock. I was informed they would be back in stock the following day. However, upon returning, they had not arrived yet. I was advised to order them online for next day delivery. When I checked their website in-store, the listing for the AirPods Pro wasn't clear whether it was the older Lightning model or the current USB-C model. Seeking clarification, I asked the staff, who assured me it was the USB-C model. Trusting this information, I placed my order on May 1st, only to receive the item on May 9th, much later than expected. To my dismay, upon opening the package, I discovered it was actually the Lightning model, not the USB-C as I had been assured. After reaching out to Fonez in an attempt to rectify the mistake, I received a disappointing response stating that due to the seal being broken, they were unable to accept a return or exchange. Despite explaining the situation, highlighting the ambiguity of their online listing, and referencing the assurance provided by their Galway store staff, no solution was offered. According to the representative I spoke to via their live chat, their management had confirmed that nothing could be done. I inquired about the possibility of speaking directly with management but never received a reply from the Fonez representative. Overall, I'm deeply disappointed by the misinformation provided by Fonez and their unwillingness to resolve the issue. Despite the product being available at a lower price from Harvey Norman, I chose to shop with Fonez based on the assurances they provided and the promise of quick delivery. However, this experience has left me with no intention of returning as a customer.
