SCAM!! DON’T BUY!!! Bought a three step hair care routine for dry and oily scalp and after one use, my scalp won’t stop peeling off. I The 10% off is a scam too because if you check at the end of checkout, they charge you just the exact same amount without the 10%. Lastly, NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. They will not respond whether you live or die

Customer service is nonexistant!

The product is okay but customer service is the worst. It is impossible to contact them. I have sent three messages about a missing shipment and they just don't reply. They also seem to delete discounts AFTER you've checked out and then charge you the full price. You don't know until you've checked your email. Very dodgy company and the product quality is dropping. Not as good as when i first started with them 4 years ago. I won't be getting Function hair care products anymore.

Good product - terrible service

The product is great, so great I’ve been using it for over 3 years, my hair goals have been met and I’ve been happy. However recently it’s IMPOSSIBLE to contact customer services. They add on things to your order as a “free extra” then charge you for it, they have taken away the 10% discount for subscribers without notifying the changes, the delay order feature does not work and there’s NO way to speak to anyone.

Wish for environmental packaging…

I love the silicone free conditioner with lavender, it’s the only conditioner I ever tried that makes my hair hydrate and smooth and really soft. My hair has been so soft and no breakage since I switch to silicone free formula. My hair is wavy, fine and balanced. The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the bottle and the pump where different. I wish the bottle was glass instead of plastic - because of enviromental damage of plastic. I would pay more to have a glass bottle! And also it would fit the product better, because the product such nice quality. And I wish the pump was better quality, so it wouldn’t break as easily and I could stop ordering them when ever I buy new conditioner + shampoo. Also I can’t seem to ger the last 2 cm of product, up from the bottle I always have to cut it xD

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OUTSIDE US

I postponed my subscription as I still have product. In the middle of the night an order was placed for only the conditioner. As I live in a different time zone I cannot live chat with them so I filled in the contact form to cancel the order. It has been weeks and no answer, the order is almost being delivered. I will dispute with my payment provider. Do not order here, shoddy customer service while I've been a previously happy customer.

My subscription never shipped

My details on the order states that my package was never shipped. It was renewed on January 12th and was paid the same day but was never shipped. I reached out 2 weeks after I ordered to see if they could fix it by sending me a replacement, which seemed to be fine with them, but here I am on February 12 with still no package being shipped.

Shocking customer service

ive been a customer with FoB for a considerable amount of time and i love the shampoos, but the customer service is horrible. Admittedly it was my own fault to a degree as ive moved house and forgot to update my shipping address. As soon as i got the email to say i was being billed i went to the website and changed my address and deleted the old one. However, it was still showing my old address on the order info. its impossible to contact them either by email or live chat - which doesnt work. i received an email concerning the renewal stating "need to change address? - email us", so i emailed them instantly with my order number and change of address - but got an automated reply stating that they would respond in 7-14 days. Considering my subscription costs £50, im not impressed at the lack of customer service. especially as ill probably not be able to get my shampoo from my old address. The lack of support is shocking.

Misleading promos and terrible customer service

I love Function of Beauty's products and have been a customer for about 4 years, but the recent customer service I received was supremely disappointing. They had a promotion to buy 2 products, get 1 free + free hair ties. It did not state anywhere that all 3 products had to be haircare so I added a body wash as my 3rd item. It worked at checkout but then when I got my order confirmation I had been charged full price for all 3 items. I contacted customer service right away and it was almost a month before I received a response, only for them to say the deal was only for haircare. I sent them the promo email I received which did not state anything about body care being excluded. On top of that, when I received my order, I did not receive my free hair ties despite them being part of my order confirmation. I received a final response another month later, offering a miniscule 10% discount. EXTREMELY disappointing since that is nowhere near the value of the promotion, on top of the nuisance of having to email them multiple times before receiving responses. I enjoy the customization and options and it seems fine for my hair, but buyer beware when you try to participate in any kind of promotion.

Terribly greasy hair after one day

I used to buy the custom product but the price increased 40% so it became too expensive. I then switched to the prepackaged bottles from boots and they are terrible. My hair is greasy after a day - they deposit a lot of heavy weight on your hair. Won’t be buying again

Disappointed!

I've previously been so happy about the products and have easily been able to contact them and receive help however, this time they've completely ghosted me after taking my money. I ordered on the 2nd of January, the money was collected on the 3rd, I've written twice and haven't heard back. Now it's the 31st of January - almost a MONTH after! It is really bad customer service!

Do not purchase Function of beauty

Do not purchase Function of beauty. Their products are fair at best. Their website is filled with inaccuracies and/or lies. Their customer service is non-existent. Getting in contact with anyone is impossible. They do not reply to emails, even though they state they are very busy and will reply within 7-10 business days, and there are times customers need to contact someone before the 7-10 days. Nope! No response. Their "Live Chat" feature on their website is a fake. The cherry on top, even after you cancel your subscription, they cancel your account so you can't log in. Then, months later they still threaten to charge you and send your next order, but you can't log in to cancel it AGAIN, and no one responds to any attempts at contact. Do yourself a favor, and find better products from a less sketchy company.

Ive been using pretty much only function of beauty products on my hair since 2021. Before getting their products I was considering cutting my hair because my long hair was always dry, tangled, and had no body. I decided to first try prose( which I didn’t like, and felt it made my hair really heavy) and then I tried function of beauty. It must have worked enough for me to keep my long hair. I love my long hair now. It soft, wavy, and my dead/ split ends take way longer to show up. I love their scents( rose is my favorite) and I love how you can pick the colors of each product. The few times I’ve had to not use their shampoo due to traveling I can totally tell the difference in my hair. My hair ends up dry, tangled, and my scalp ends up oily. However, their prices have gone up, and it seems like there have been issues with delivery the past few months. Their orders make a long time to process before they even ship, so I’ve had to wait a long time to get my products. It’s still worth it for me though. I still order it every time, and I love getting my package. I get the hair mask, shampoo, conditioner, and hair serum every 3-4 months I’ve noticed that recent reviews have been commenting on the costumer service. I’ve personally only had good experiences with costumer service. They reply quickly, and have resolved all my issues.

Cancelled my subscription. Still waiting on a refund

My order was placed on dec 10th. And almost a month later was still showing as pending. Customer service emails and "chat" were ignored. They even say to expect 7-10 days for a customer service response? I asked them to ship my item immediately or refund me my money. They claimed there was an issue with my order and gave me a new order that would be sent out "by next week." That was two weeks ago. It is now Jan 25th and I have not received an order or a refund. And my customer service emails are still going unanswered.

They place orders without permission

Hello, I placed an order of $50.80 on 1/02/24, where the schedule for auto delivery was set for every three months. Sure enough, on 1/12/2024 Function of Beauty decided to make more money at my expense, and placed an order that I did NOT place or approve, for one of the items, at the amount of $25.68. They were using my card without my permission!! They don't have a phone number to call to, I emailed, which got a response only days later, telling me that the second order was shipped, and it was too late to cancel it. This is a fraudulent activity, shame on this company for using my credit card without my permission, just because they have it on file!! This is how they make their money, placing unauthorized orders, with no adequate customer service to help, they scam people into their traps.
