I started a return item with Gear4music in March 19th and have tried to contact them several times since then and all my attempts have been ignored. I have no idea what the status of my return item is and the process has been a disaster. I have purchased items from Gear4music.ie in the past and delivery has been prompt and no problems, but I cannot get anyone to reply to me about an item I returned almost 2 months ago. I hope this review will get their attention because nothing else has so far. Extremely disappointed
Great website for buying instrument, i really recommend. However, they also buy instruments and in a try of selling a instrument, i have been waiting 3 months for an answer and, so far, never got my money or my instrument.

I rang Gear for music and got all the advice and questions answered that I needed. Then I did a lot of research and online browsing and was recommended Bondi surf ( Australia ) I read up on that one and lots of others. I really liked Koa one stocked by Gear for music also but this one is for child so maybe later.
Have tried contacting them on their Irish and UK site and no response to either emails. I am a customer and been happy with my previous purchases but when they don’t take the time to respond to a simple email it’s disappointing

Awful unexpected hidden charges, be careful they may seem to be regional but its more like a small shop. They wanted me to pay 166 euros to ship a product between there own warehouses. The local warehouses is 10 mins away from me - I could have happily collected it. The sales person is instructed not to enable any communication on this with a manager. More they want 286 euro for standard shipping and 166 for express shipping.
Really poor service. Asked for advice to replace a part on my double bass that is one of their own, didn’t come back to me. Subsequently purchased and supplied with parts that didn’t fit. Dreadful service trying to resolve, still no resolution and stuck with a double bass that can’t be used at all. Wouldn’t recommend ordering parts or an instrument from them.

Gear4Music did a great job delivering this guitar. It arrived at my door almost to the minute that they predicted. Very impressed with that. As for the guitar, I was looking for an economical "knock about" guitar and I think I found a good one. I regularly use ESPs and I was very impressed with this Charvel at the price. The pickups are completely different to the EMGs I'm used to but after a while I got a sound I was very happy with. The neck feels great and the position of the volume knob is great. No more accidentally lowering your sound as your hand rubs off it. Other makers take note. I play heavy rough guitar metal and this is a real rhythm players guitar. I can see it getting plenty of use in my set up. If I have to be critical it's the nut. I play 10 - 56 in D standard for most of my work and that's not going to work with the nut that is supplied on this guitar. With so much metal being recorded in lower tunings, I can't fathom why a Joe Duplantier guitar comes tuned in E with a set of 9-42s?? Anyway, a minor quibble. For the money, this is a very good guitar.
