Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware. Don’t But from Guns.com. I ordered New expensive Beretta that was shipped out without the chokes and choke tool. I informed them and they insist the company that sent it out is reliable and they trust them. They never once verified all was with gun before it was sent out and will not do anything about it. So now I have to purchase a 325 dollar choke set that was supposed to be included in my brand new gun case. Horrible customer service and so Much for there Promise they claim to make all right with the transactions. I wouldn’t ever trust them again and I make lots of purchases. So please look elsewhere for your guns. Don’t trust this company.

Great rifle, not great customer service

Purchased a Sig Cross rifle which is awesome and was delivered on time. Unfortunately the extended 10 round mags I purchased, based on the recommendation of the guns.com website, were not designed for the rifle. When I contacted guns.com customer service I was told it was essentially my problem because I didn’t know their algorithm only points out that people who purchase one product also purchase other, possibly unrelated products. Not the biggest deal in the world but I spent a lot of money on a great rifle to be nickel and dimed over an accessory.

If they send you the wrong thing, you're screwed!

I bought something and they sent me the item and it doesn't fit, won't return or exchange, ridiculous! Buy elsewhere, there are plenty of other great sites like Bud's guns shop, Optics Planet, Midway, Primary Arms, etc...UPDATE: they responded to me about their, “return policy“ which is clearly embedded somewhere in the website in very fine small print and not prevalent enough for anyone with intelligence and a bachelor of science degree such as myself to find. The fact that they have a policy but then carefully hide it so that your average person can’t find it is no excuse! who has ever heard of a company that doesn’t do returns or exchanges? Especially when it comes to purchasing rifles or accessories which are extremely expensive. This is no excuse!

Initial Order

I recently ordered/received a Taurus PT-745 Millennium Pro, in .45 ACP, and although is was in used condition it arrived exactly as described -and- shipping was relatively quick. This was my initial dealing with Guns.com and couldn't be more pleased with the service and customer support ... would definitely recommend to potential customers. -Jack B.

Scam

Scam. “Sent” firearm to registered agent. Twice. Neither agent responded. Then, guns.com never responded. Having to dispute charge now. The world is full of scumbags and the owners of guns.com are included as such.

I have had 2 experiences with this poor excuse of a gun company…

I have had 2 experiences with this company. First I bought a Glock 34. What couldn't be discerned from the photo was the serial numbers on the frame and slide didn't match. A problem if the gun is resold. As the gun was otherwise fine: not that big a problem Then I bought a Glock 30 gen 4. The gun was supposed to have night sights and an Apex trigger. I received the gun and there were no grip adjustments which is what makes a Gen 4 a Gen 4. I was told tough luck, it wasn't in the picture of the gun. The "night sights" were a single front night sight. They said they would correct that. Still waiting. The Apex trigger was the trigger shoe not the actual Apex trigger. There sliding scale of not in the picture is the refuge of people you do not want to do business with. Local lawsuit pending

I ordered a firearm from them…

I ordered a firearm from them yesterday, which they were already charging 50 dollars over retail for. I get an email the next day saying they canceled my order without explanation. So I called and come to find out they canceled my order and relisted the gun for 400 more dollars (450 over retail).

Guns.com sucks

They take their sweet time getting your purchase shipped, then use the totally unreliable incompetent UPS, who also sucks. Never buying from guns.cornhole again. Update: NO, you NEVER reached out to me. So you suck AND. You lie! 🤬

Shipped a gun that was missing parts

Guns.com advertised a new SMITH and Wesson revolver . They also said they had it in inventory..I received the gun about 10 days later and it was missing parts..I called Guns.com to request the gun be taken back and repaired or replaced. They refused. They said all sales are final. They told me since it is a new gun that I should contact the manufacturer for repair or replacement. Next the service person told me that Guns.com never even received this gun into their inventory. They said it shipped directly from a distributor to my FFL.This conflicted to what they advertised..The website said they had stock. This was the only reason I purchased the gun from Guns.com. I needed the gun quickly because it was supposed to be a birthday present for a nephew. Next Guns.com told me they cant take the gun back for repair or replacement because it would violate the warranty from Smith and Wesson..I called Smith and Wesson and they told me this is not true. They said most of their distributors do take back defective guns for their customers..Smith and Wesson said it is usually only the on-line stores that refuse to take back defective guns. So I caught this Guns.com miss representing twice. First they advertised that they had inventory on this gun which they never had.It shipped directly from the distributer they bought it from to my FFL. All they were doing was shuffling paper and making money.. The 2nd miss representation was they tried to tell me that it was the manufacturer's policy not to allow them to repair or replace the gun. Smith and Wesson said that is the reseller's policy and not theirs. Smith and Wesson said most of their resellers accept returns on defective products..It is usually the on-line stores that don't. They also said the on-line stores are usually the ones that advertise that they have inventory but in reality, they don't. I will never buy from Guns.com again.

Misrepresentation

They misrepresented the rifle on their website with photo. There was no description of the stock color. A reddish stock came as horrible pink neon color. They refused a refund or return on the $450 item. Filed complaint with BBB and attorney general’s office, consumer fraud dept. Stay away if you don’t want headaches. Edited 4/23/24: (Now they want to charge a $50 restocking fee if they take the rifle back, even though they misrepresented the color.)

Blown away by response and shipping time!

I was looking for a very specific build and color and Guns.com was 1 of 3 sites that had any new in stock. I called their CS dept and they were able to give me an exact inventory and provide answers to all of my questions. I placed an order at 3:57pm EST and within an hour the gun not only shipped but tracking showed that it would be delivered the following day to my FFL in VA. Absolutely insane! Kudos to Guns.com on an amazing experience. Will most definitely use again

Terrible!

Terrible!! Avoid at all costs! They will add surprise fees ( firearms fee) etc.. to the total so what they advertise isn’t the actual price. Called to cancel my order immediately after placing it and spoke with Bunny who was incredibly rude. She said she wouldn’t cancel my order even though it hadn’t shipped.

Used gun not functional

I bought a used barreta from this place and guess what ? The gun had issues with the ejection so l sent them an e-mail and their answer was the gun l brought was not certified what of course they king of hide this mention from on their site and you got only three days to return it what of course is not written in big letters anywhere. So the repair is going to be of my pocket l will never buy a use gun ever again from this place. To me in this type of business you make sure the gun is in a perfect functioning condition before selling it . This is not professional at all .

Load, Aim, Fire. Guns.com doesn't miss

I have bought 3 times from Guns.com All 3 have been smooth and seamless transactions. With their partner Credova I have been able to finnce all my purchases and paid off early with no penalty. All my interactions via email or phone ha e been pleasant, courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. I have met a few of the Rangemasters at a Sjg Sauer event and again wasn't disappointed. When it's time for a new gun, an upgrade or gear. I load up at Guns.com

eBay for guns!

Both guns I purchased (taurus608 and Ria pro match 6)came scratched up and blemished, looked like display guns! Were listed as new! Found out guns.com is just a dumping ground for sellers to dump there beat up or defective stuff and hope it doesn’t get rejected by purchaser when picking up the transfer! This place is like eBay for guns, originally thought they were n.i.b and came from there inventory, haha, they have no inventory, there just a middleman,Never again, learned my lesson!!

NEVER BUY USED GUNS FROM GUNS.COM

I purchased a used Sig Sauer P365 from Guns.com listed as “excellent” condition. The firearm came with three magazines, two were 10 round magazines and one was a 12 round magazine. Upon inspecting the firearm, none of the magazines were functional, they all had bad springs and were unable to be loaded. The gun itself also had scuffs and scratches that were not clearly depicted in the pictures or represented by the excellent condition it was advertised as. After calling customer service, I was told that the company DOES NOT CERTIFY AND CHECK FUNCTIONALITY OF MAGAZINES prior to shipments. I was also told I need to send pictures and a video of me trying to load the magazines. They called me back and admitted none of the magazines were functional, and that would provide me options for resolution. They provided three options. The first option was a refund that they originally said they would not be able to cover any of the associated fees or shipping. The second option was to send three identical magazines. The third option was to give me a $100 coupon or voucher for the website. I happily elected the option to get three brand new magazines shipped directly to my home. After this, I received a call back stating that they would be unable to deliver any 12 round magazines because they did not have any in stock on their website or with any of their certified providers. Only 10 round mags. This is a small gun and the only way it fits in my hand is with an extended mag. The reason I purchased this gun was because it came with an extended magazine. They then told me that they could give me a full refund for the shipping service fees however they would not be able to cover the transfer fee I had to pay in order to pick up the gun. The transfer fee was $50. I sent them proof of receipt and confirmation of purchase of that fee. They told me that they would be unable to provide any further resolutions regarding the transfer fee, no coupons or any other compensation. I asked to speak with another manager only to hear the same regurgitation of a resolution that was previously provided. So at this point, I am out $50 and wasted 3 hours of my time with calls, emails, taking videos, pictures to prove my case. The manager told me there is nobody else that I could speak to, and that this decision would be final. If you’re still reading this in conclusion, I was sent a gun that was not functional nor up to the standards of the excellent condition it was listed as on the website, I wasted $50 that I was unable to be compensated for and I wasted about three hours of my time going back-and-forth on the phone just trying to get a refund. Lesson learned, never buy used guns online especially not from guns.com.

Walther PPQ in 22LR caliber

I bought a Walther PPQ in 22LR caliber. I got it for a good price and Guns.com shipped it out the next day. I have not been to my gun range as of now. I love the way it feel in my hand. It is light, even with the magazine fully loaded. The trigger pull in, my opinion, is very good. Walther know how to build a gun that you can carry all day and not be uncomfortable with the weight. I was surprised to find that the magazine has a button in the side that you can pull down and load your rounds easily no more hurting fingers!

I ordered a Remington 700 BDL, got the wrong gun sent.

I ordered a Remington 700 BDL, they sent a 700 CDL, and I paid $43 for the FFL. When I inquired numerous times they said they would check and send me the proper gun, they did not. They refunded my money for the purchase only. They were very slow, and independent of the 3rd party the set up the transactions Gun.com should have made the purchase right immediately. i.e. sending the correct gun on there dime, not have me coordinate shipping etc. It took over a week just to get a return authorization. The process has now been close to a month from the day I ordered the gun, and they failed on every step. They still show the gun available, am I to order again and pay an additional fee for the FFL No, I will never use this site again.
