Delivery problems

The chocolates are always excellent quality, no questions. The problems I've experienced is with delivery on both occasions. The first delivery was late because instructions left on the delivery order page were not followed by the courier. With the second purchase, although I paid for next day delivery, the order didn't arrive the next day and I was unable to trace its whereabouts. The supplier dealt with this when I queried it but it's still disappointing when you want your delivery by a certain date. Even though the courier is not owned by the supplier, as it's their chosen carrier, they must accept full culpability.

Just received my order of 2 boxes today, one being my monthly subscription plus one more. I opted to receive the chocolate latte and the mocha latte this time around. I’m really enjoying a mocha at the moment and it’s delicious and smooth.

Messed up presentation

Chocolates arrived on time but both selections were broken in their boxes. Too much bother to try to contact you so we will make the best of it. If this happened before they left your depot you need to look at your workspace. Packed with lots of paper but the boxes were upset.

Disliked delay time from order to delivery

Disliked the delay time from order to delivery and the seeming reliance on Royal Mail to deliver. In these days of next day delivery it’s odd to have to wait over 5 days.

Take more care, Royal Mail

Choosing and ordering was very easy and I was kept informed about status of the order right up to delivery. Nicely packed. It’s a present so can’t say how well it works - it’s a velvetiser. Four stars instead of five against Royal Mail because the outer box had been bashed enough to slightly damage the inside box. Full marks to HC for packaging the item well in the first place.

Had a bad experience with my monthly subscription which arrived totally melted. When I eventually managed to get evidence through to Hotel Chocolat, they sorted it in minutes and it just goes to prove it us 100 percent chocolate, otherwise it would not have melted!

Never have any problems with ordering…

Never have any problems with ordering from hotel Chocolat just issues with Royal Mail but hotel Chocolat refunded my next day delivery fee and they arrived a day later so all is good 😊
