Just tried to place an order for a blouse and added the discount for my birthday at checkout but not able to choose the click and collect address for delivery of the item. The addresses they give are nowhere near me and if they leave the parcel outside my home it will not be there when I get home in the evening. Called customer service who said they don't apply discounts and can't change the click and collect address. No order very disappointing.

Distressing Experience for an Elderly Relative.

The knock on effect of using such an awful company in conjunction with Evri means that my elderly mother has been charged both interest and administration charges by the former. This is because - apparently (who knows) - Evri lost two items using JD Williams returns procedure and no-one will take accountability to get to the bottom of the problem. My mum wrote to JD Williams on 18th April 2024 to advise they had sent her a statement with interest added because she was being charged for two items 'lost in transit'. The items were returned using the specified JD Williams returns procedure. No reply was ever received. Since then she has had regular automated calls asking for payment. JD Williams - if you provide an address for people to write to you, the idea is to respond, not ignore the letter then charge interest. Trust me, you will never get to speak to anyone who will take responsibility for sorting out your problem, instead the company hides behind automation, overseas call centres and refusing to call a customer, even when they are clearly in the wrong. In addition, they have no Complaints Department. Have to say, looking on review sites, there does appear to have been just a few complaints, so perhaps it might be a good idea to adopt a formal complaints procedure and stop hiding behind technology. If JD Williams is going to automate all their systems, then at least they could notify customers who don't have access to a mobile phone or the internet (yes, there are still people like that!), so that they could cancel their catalogue and avoid the ludicrous interest and charges JD Williams adds without reviewing individual customer records. I felt I had to write this review on behalf of mum, as the knock on effect of the missing parcels has caused other financial problems, meaning my mum has ended up paying for two items 'lost in transit' as well as associated interest and administration charges by JD Williams.

Conniving money stealing con artists

Ordered a pair dining chairs. They arrived with no front legs in the box. I arranged a return and expected a replacement. I then was told I had to wait until the return was received and inspected before I could have a replacement… approximately 4 weeks. Told them I do not want the chairs anymore under that condition. Just had my statement and they had the audacity to make me pay postage and charge it to my account for the chairs that were incomplete .., What a bunch of con artists

Misleading website information regarding delivery. item ordered 4th may expected delivery as per their website on 10th. To now be told delivery date means dispatch date not delivery and still upto another 5 days for delievery so now around 14 days for delievery is this acceptable ive checked today forban update and 11th they still haven't dispatched my package BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS SITE ** UPDATE** Still no delivery. dispatch email received fron JD Williams on tge 11th. now 14th Evri still wauting for the package. they have been waiting since the 3rd. Something very sprcious going on. Looks like being lied to ** further update. ** JD williams have now said item lost in transit.. very suspicious as item never arrived at courier. They even said it had been dispatched at begining if week. after continuos issuesvi have now cancelled order and gone with a different supplier. on one positive they have refunded the full amount. an a token £5 good will gesture. Just be careful if your ordering for a specific date and really want/need item

What a terrible company shower of monkeys who get payed peanuts taking over the country getting exept credit the refused making me let my kids down thay can't even give a proper explanation I STRONGLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO SHOP ELS WERE SO YOUR KIDS DONT GET LET DOWN PROBABLY FULL OF ASIAN PEOPLE MESSING UP

Incredibly slow delivery

Incredibly slow delivery. Evri are a disastrous courier. I don't know why anyone uses them. I paid extra for faster delivery but it's actually slower than normal.

Bought pair slippers for my wife and…

Bought pair slippers for my wife and within 3 months fell apart at sole. So I bought her two more pairs 2 weeks ago and guess what they fell apart from soles so that's three pairs of slippers in three and half months. So if I continue to buy at that rate she might buy about 12 pairs a year . Very poor and shoddy not at all happy

Great clothes but courier not so good

They do some great clothes, especially, bigger sizes, but alas they use Evri - the worst courier in the world! Evri failed to collect returns and lied about it. You can't contact Evri direct. Called J D Williams got and their remote call centre. They were really nice but even they can not contact Evri direct. More of an annoyance than a major issue but my experience of Evri has been overwhelmingly negative.

Do not open an account! The accounts are a complete con and the service charges added are nearly as much as your monthly payments meaning you're never actually paying anything off your account and basically just giving JDW money monthy, forever.

Was delivered some items of clothing. Tags removed and looking as if they had been worn. Sent back to J D Williams to have them resent back to me saying they had been worn. Have spent the last 24+ hours trying to get this resolved being fobbed off by will contact you back in 24 hours have they done NO. Contacted again told will be escalated will contact you later we will see

Terrible Terrible customer service and I've seen I'm not the only who has been in the situation ordered 4 items everything came apart from 1 Contact them about my item only for them to tell me "its been delivered" I asked for tracking "oh we can't see tracking on the system buy customer service will get back to you on what happened with your item in 3 days"...... 3 days layer..... "I am sorry to hear that you have not received the Xbox controller, please be assured this is not in keeping with our usual standards.    I'm pleased to confirm that your account has been credited with the following: Xbox Wireless Controller Carbon Black V2 - £54.99   This will be confirmed online on your account within 24 hours.   If you would like us to reorder this item for you, please let me know. Alternatively, please reorder the item online in the usual way". Erm what.... where is my item you said it was delivered where is the tracking details so unorganised and miss cholesterol lied because from the reviews it seem this is their standards deleting account as soon as I pay them back stick to very people you will be better off

Dreadful service

Dreadful service. Opened the account (with a much better credit score than other people I know using the website) and granted a balance of £250 so placed an order for next day delivery. Waited in for the order only for it to be cancelled but zero correspondence from the company to say that they had cancelled the order. Contacted them to find out what was going on only to get copy and pasted answers from live chat. Very quickly closed the account down. Terrible terrible website.

Poor Customer Service & Dishonest over Price Change

I tried to open new account and order watch for my husband Birthday. He gave me link with details & price £289! Had problems with account and emailed day I tried to place order. Did not receive correct response so phoned customer services in South Africa!! Account sorted went to place order in basket but price changed overnight to £369. Really upset phoned customer services again in South Africa. Would not help and Manager could not speak to me as busy!! Agent told me nothing I could do unless I had screen shot. I have link but when you click on it the price is updated to new price. Nobody helped me yesterday when I had problems and they will not honour price! Do not recommend this company as dishonest. Their records must confirm it was £289 yesterday when I tried to place my order!

HIGH APR and LOW standard of service.

After placing an order and paying it off fully and on time my account was placed in review and unable to utilize any available credit, but as postage and APR were high anyway I have probably dodged a bullet and closed the account down, poor service and not the greatest choice of goods out there, look around for better deals like I have now found before signing up for an acocunt.
