The team went above and beyond for us. We had a large order for our wedding and when we found out we needed to change the order date ahead by one day, they were incredibly accommodating and careful to make sure everything was perfect for us. A+++ customer service

I placed an online order for some drinks for my dad's wake. I somehow didn't see the "name a delivery date" option and ended up with standard delivery- which may have come after the day of the funeral. I wrote to customer service asking if there was anything they could do to make sure it got to me before the right date. I didn't have much hope of a reply. An excellent representative called Rosie replied really quickly and over the next few hours contacted various branches and warehouses to try to help me out (and had also expressed condolences for my bereavement) and kept me in touch . The order arrived - about 24 hours after i'd placed it! It was excellent customer service and i was so impressed by Rosie and the Majestic team. Bear in mind it was me who had made the mistake.We are reasonably regular customers but will only be going to one place in the future. If only all companies were like this...

Rose tasting - leatherhead store

A fantastic, fun evening tasting a range of rose wines. Daniel our host was welcoming and knowledgeable in explaining the wines and suggesting pairings with the accompanying cheese board. Looking forward to the next tasting event.

Exeter store poor customer service

On Sat 4th May I bought 12 bottles of wine from the Exeter branch of Majestic. It turned out that I didn't need the wine so I decided to return them today. I checked the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on Majestic website this morning which says: "I would like to return some of the wine I have bought, is this possible? - Of course. Our return policy means you can return unopened bottles to your local store for a full refund." That is 100% clear. So when I turned up this morning at your store, your staff pointed out the small print of the returns policy (somewhere else on their website) which says that in fact only a max 25% of the returned wine will be refunded I was left a bit confused and annoyed because this contradicts the wording on the FAQ page. Both can't be right. I was told that if I was unhappy with this to contact head office. That's just not good enough, Majestic should honour what they say on their FAQ page and offer a full refund.

Really quite disappointed with both the Ruislip and St Johns Wood branches. Booked a tasting for our wedding (will be quite a large order) and the entire session felt rushed and inconvenient. We were only allowed to try 4 wines, which we were not informed of beforehand and were also not informed during so we ended up only being able to taste one red. We were then advised to actually place the order with a store nearer our venue which makes sense (St Johns Wood) however this store sent back quite a curt email basically saying to do it online - pointless and unhelpful, especially considering one of our choices was out of stock. As this is for our wedding I was expecting much much better service, and we are ultimately now considering elsewhere.

Good response to customer request

I like shopping at Majestic as I can walk to my local branch in Wimbledon and reduce carbon footprint etc. I'm fond of sherry and whereas Majestic has a good selection on their website, they are often unavailable both on line and in store. I mentioned this to the staff last time I was in, with particular regard to Viña AB by Gonzalez Byas, a solid and good value amontillado. Pleased to report that my local Majestic now has it in stock.

We want to taste the wine before committing

Whilst happy with the actual shop, we had a quote of roughly £740 for 1/2 white, 1/2 red for a wedding, but weren't given the opportunity to actually taste the wine. And so we went elsewhere. Such a shame when the order was guaranteed if the wine tasted ok. Hopefully this comment will be taken as constructive criticism and a way to move forward with the business.

Please sort the website issues

I have been a customer of Majestic for many years and have no issues with the quality of the wine. If I was reviewing just the stores, the staff, and the product the review would be 5 stars. But every time I try to use the website a nightmare unfolds. This is nothing new! You obviously employ incompetent IT personnel or IT personnel who don't care, or maybe it's the system. Please don't ask me to outline what happens, simply get 10 or so individuals to independently place orders and report back with the results.

Awful support

I received and email with some attractive offers and I tried to log into my online account. Unfortunately, there was a problem and so I called the number on the website. Having spent 15 minutes on the phone and a further 35 minutes awaiting a resolution I was told that the issue had been raised with IT and it would be solved following day. This was 2 days ago. I have not received notification of a solution and I still cannot access my account. Why send offers that cannot be accessed. Extremely frustrating !!!!

Majestic Poole

The team at Majestic Poole are absolutely sublime. We joined the wine club around 2 years ago (following a recommendation from one of the team!) And we enjoy going to the shop so much that we get our orders delivered to the store, just so we can get an extra visit! The team remember us and are so friendly, making recommendations when there's something new that they think we will like. The recent champagne vs sparkling tasting was amazing and we'd love to see more events like this where we can try to absorb more of the teams seemingly endless knowledge!

Appalling mobile experience

I love Majestic, so giving one star here may look a bit odd. But their mobile (sort of an app) web experience is truly appalling...and they don't seem to be doing anything about it. I've twice given up trying to buy through the app. Truly dreadful experience that really puts off a (loyal) customer. Come on Majestic, wake up.

Great customer service at Battersea

GREAT customer service. I used my local branch in Battersea, Queenstown Road, South London. The team there are fantastic. In store I met Garrick, Dom, Will and re delivery of my order, Paul. I also spoke to Helen and Rosie on the tel. All really accommodating, human and friendly. I was directed to Majestic for a wee book launch event I was hosting. Excellent service from a responsive company

We buy our wine through Majestic via their local store. It is always good service and value. I had problems with the app. and contacted them via Trustpilot. I could not fault the helpful reply and efforts to resolve the teething issues with what is a new app. Now happily satisfied. If all companies accepted helpful feedback in this way the world would be a better place!
