I've recently ordered pair of Merrell Kahuna III walking sandals and, being a great Merrell user, I was pleased when they arrived in a couple of days. Unfortunately, the design seemed a little strange. I bought sandals to allow for the foot swelling that usually comes with walks on hot summer's days, and the inclusion of the fixed neoprene arch did not allow for this. Plus, the top buckle and strap was of little use as the arch rendered it somewhat redundant. I tried to put these on after five miles on a hot day and they were too tight, having been relatively fine when I set out (not actually wearing them I hasten to add!). Hence the sandals were returned. However, two things must be stressed: One, the quality and construction of the sandals was superb, everything I've come to love about this company. It was simply a design issue. Two, the outstanding service from Master shoe. Delivered promptly and no quibbles when I returned the item, even though I had held onto them for a few days to do the walk test. Their communications were outstanding and polite and I am awaiting the refund. Thank you Mastershoe. I will visit your site when I'm in need of any new footwear.
