Customer service is actually non-existent

Customer service have stopped accepting phone calls. They also do not reply to emails. If you want to return, they are charging £10 per order. I placed 3 orders, but I am returning all items in one box, but they will still charge £10 per order. That’s £30 in total. I request that someone from Matches contacts me to waive two of those charges. My order numbers are OMF830090091, OMF830090653, and OMF830102317. The company is in administration and trying to claw any money it can. STAY AWAY and DON’T ORDER.

It takes everything to long

It takes everything to long, shipping and returns… They used to be excellent, just so sad. They do not ship to my home country in EU anymore. There are other online stores who ship from Italy to avoid customs. If needed to make a return, 3 x copies of the invoices for customs are requested. You have to pay for your returns. The clothes were very poor packed, along with only a piece of a cotehanger of plastic. Bye Matchesfashion!

Al jaren klant. Ging altijd goed. Op 7 maart 2024 een deel van mijn bestelling geretourneerd volgens het retourproces van MatchesFashion. Op 8 maart 2024 is MatchesFashion 'under administration' geplaatst, m.a.w. ze hebben geen geld meer. Mijn artikelen zijn retour ontvangen, maar mijn geld wordt niet teruggestort. Telefonisch is het bedrijf niet bereikbaar en er wordt niet gereageerd op mijn e-mailtjes. MatchesFashion is nog steeds online actief. Wees gewaarschuwd!

Matches owe me £550

I sent back a faulty Loewe bag at the beginning of February & received communication until March that the bag had been sent to the brand & they were looking into the issue. I have chased for an update since & have gotten no response, no refund & no replacement bag sent. I am owed £550 from this company & no sign that I will get this refund or the item that they seem to have stolen.

PayPal sichert den Schaden auch nicht ab!

Ich bin auch entsetzt! 1.500,-€ weg! Auf gar keinen Fall dort bestellen. Das Unternehmen hat Konkurs angemeldet und steht nun unter Insolvenzverwaltung. Ich hatte Ware bestellt musste sie zurücksenden da sie nicht gepasst hatten und habe nun weder Ware noch bekomme ich mein Geld zurück. Ich hatte mit Paypal bezahlt aber von dort ist auch keine Hilfe zu erwarten. Dort hat man den Fall einfach geschlossen! Jetzt wird meine Ware einfach weiterverkauft! wie kann man so mit Kunden umgehen. Man sollte bei dieser Firma zukünftig nicht bestellen. Unseriös!

Achtung: Retourengutschrift kommt nicht

Leider warte ich seit vier Wochen auf mein Retourengutschrift. Ich werde in gewissen Abständen informiert bzw. vertröstet, dass es noch dauert, da das Team noch Fragen zur Retoure hat. Das ist absolut inakzeptabel. Ich habe angeklickt, warum ich den/die Artikel zurückschicke. So etwas habe ich nicht nicht erlebt. Ich habe jetzt alle Institutionen, die helfen können informiert. Achtung: nicht bestellen oder nur das bestellen, was zu 100% behalten wird.

Please everyone stop buying from this horrific company. Since Mike Ashley took over Matches it’s gone downhill. I purchased two items before Mike Ashley decided to put Matches into administration and this meant that I had no option to return the items as he decided to refuse all returns even though they still fell well within the returns period. One item faulty and one item not as advertised. The only response from Matches was to say we changed our policy ‘overnight’ so you can no longer return these items. I’ve been left with items to the value of £1100 and no option to return. My credit card company are fighting this for me but still no resolution as yet and I have the worry I’ll be left out of pocket with useless, unusable items. If you purchase anything from them you are leaving yourself open to Mike Ashley changing policies at his will. It’s disgraceful and it’s fraudulent and Mike Ashley does not care. Don’t add to Mike Ashley’s pocket by spending your hard earned money on items that you can buy elsewhere from a reputable trustworthy company, unlike this one. I messaged Mike Ashley via Instagram to express by dissatisfaction and dismay at how he has treated many of us and got an abusive response from him. Do you really want to buy from someone who doesn’t give a damn about your rights or hard earned cash?! This review is a follow on from my previous review in March 2024.

Product returned and 2 months later no resolution

Bought a Belstaff gilet which had become faulty within a few months. Initially matches did respond and then two months later asked me to return the gilet which I did. They then said they no longer had this in stock so had gone back to Belstaff for a solution. Then I got an email to send photos of this which I then attached the photos I took initially. It’s now been 4 months and I am not getting any response. The gilet has been returned and no refund given or replacement and they have not let me know what happens next despite emailing. It’s been over a week since my last email and still no response so I have no alternative than write a negative review which is a shame in hope that they may help me to resolve this.

Wrong item delivered, no response

Buy only if you are willing to take risk. If you are only saving a few bucks, better spend your money elsewhere. This company is a mess, they did not deliver the correct item. They never reply to any of my messages regarding the wrong item. This is a vastly different behavior from before when they reply in one day.

Ok, unless you really, really want that thing, don’t risk it. Mine arrived with no paperwork, no return label and the return tag already taken off. Sad to see this once great company in a shambolic, morally questionable mess.

Company took Hundreds of pounds from us. Went into Administration. No warranty or refunds. Sent to me- On 8th MARCH 2024- MATCHES were placed into Administration.

Still awaiting a refund - customer service not responding

I returned an item on the 20th March but have still not received my refund. I have chased several times but have not received any response. The phone lines have been closed so any emails or messages via WhatsApp are being ignored. Clearpay have been useless so I am going to have to go to my credit card provider and ask them to assist me in obtaining my refund. Really not happy with this situation. I just want my money back!

Not a bad experience

Ordered twice in the past couple of weeks, both using the amazing 40% discount. Felt I was taking a risk, with reading the reviews, on the first order, but arrived within a week with no problems. So ordered my second item, again arriving within a week with no problems. Communication was good with both orders. Yes they don't come in the nice fancy packaging, paper and stickers that they used to but it is what it is. Luckily I didn't have to return either item for any reason, so didn't have to pay the £10 return charge or experience the issues reported with refunds, so can't comment on that. Might have been a different review if I did. All in all got a couple of items with a great discount, that were delivered on time.

Unfortunately, the quality you knew no longer exists

After bankruptcy it was acquired by Frasers Group. If you want to try your luck to see if the item actually arrives without any problems after purchase, go for it.
