MONEY FOR NOTHING

I bought a recliner chair from the Oak Furniture Land in Blackpool Worcester. I had tried sitting on it and it felt perfect! It was not what I got when they delivered! Wright from the start it did not feel comfortable and felt I was on a tilt! I reported it. Someone came out. He wasn't very nice from the moment I opened the door to him. He denied anything was wrong. I complained. Someone else came out. He decided to replace the sponge pad in the seating. I thought at last it will be fixed. But no, it was still tilting to the left. It just got worse. Instead of the chair helping my symptoms it aggregated them. I tried a few years later to try and get it sorted. Again someone came out. The out come? Oak Furniture Land denied again. Everyone who visited me could see the tilt in the chair and felt it when they sat down in it themselves. I swore I will never buy furniture again from Oak Furniture Land, first time and last time!! I even paid insurance on it to no avail, that was a waste of a couple of £100's!! I spent a lot of money for that recliner for comfort. Never had it from the start!! My thoughts on Oak Furniture Land. Soft furniture when tried in store is not what gets delivered to you. And as for the after care service they promise, is non existent just words to make you buy! But they don't stand buy it. Today I made my finale payment on it for a chair I couldn't use for comfort and so was not fit for purpose!! They are suppose to have a duty of care to their customers all smoke and mirrors. Sadly, the chair put out as BULKY WASTE COLLECTION!!! ON THE DAY I MADE MY FINAL PAYMENT. I WAS NOT AWARE AT THIS MOMENT IT WAS THE FINALE PAYMENT TODAY AS THE CHAIR WAS BEING COLLECTED, IT WAS SUCH A COINCIDENCE!! SO I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT! FOR PAYING A HIGH PRICE OF WHAT IT COST. JUST AND EMPTY CORNER IN MY LOUNGE. THIS TIME I WILL GO WITH DFS AS I HAVE ALWAYS DONE BEFORE. I BOUGHT A 3 SEATER FROM THE RHE SAME TIME I BOUGHT THAT CHAIR. AND THE THREE SEATER IS STILL AS GOOD AS RHE DAY I TRIED IT AND SO FAR HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH AT ALL.

Poor Delivery Experience

Online ordered Shay Rustic Solid Oak and Painted Double Wardrobe and experience was good. I've paid £99.99 for premium delivery. Two persons came to deliver the wardrobe which includes one senior and another very young man. The senior guy is the most negative person I've ever encountered. As soon as I have opened the door and he saw the property he said wardrobe can't be delivered as it can't go through. He insisted to take order back and insisted me to place a flat pack wardrobe. It took a lot of persuasion to convince him to give it a go and switch the orientation. Luckily the younger guy understood my suggestion and agreed to deliver that way. It went in without any hassle. That senior guy who was driving the van too needs some serious training. I'm not impressed with him at all. They have left lot of rubbish on the floor which I have taken photos and show as proof. Overall delivery experience is poor.

Our new sofa got delivered but didn't…

Our new sofa got delivered but didn't end up making its way into our home as it was too big to get into the house. No I didn't take any measurements only in the living room as we were told numerous times when we bought it in the show room at Cardiff Gate that the sofa will come in three parts in cardboard boxes so we didn't think anything or have any concerns with the sofa not being able to get into the living room. We now have to pay for a return fee and rearrange delivery and also pay for someone to take our window out but also find someone who's willing to take it out and put it back in around the same time even though we don't have a clear time on when it is being delivered... Nightmare. Completely different attitude when it comes to customer service now they have our money!!!

Just wanted to give credit wheres it's due, recently we purchased a new house, which required a full set of Living and Dining room furniture. Our experience from start to finish was amazing, starting with Tracy the Sales Representative and concluding with the two gentlemen Gavin and Zen who delivered it to my new home, what an absolute pleasure to deal with people who actually understand what good customer service is! Great service and fantastic price

The staff at Oak Furnitureland in Swindon were all great. They gave us the information we needed but then gave us the to browse on our own and come back to ask questions and advice. We ended up buying two beside cabinets and a chest of drawers (including two items from the showroom floor at massive discount) for our new bedroom. We were even given a refund because the cost of the new item went down between order and delivery. Terrific service all round! Thanks

Awful customer service

Ordered a sofa and chair back on February 4th and was told earliest delivery would be May 15th. I paid premium delivery meaning they take everything and set up in my room of choice. Was advised will be sent a three hour time slot day before which is today. Nothing come through so called them to then be told there is a delay and now it will be June 12th. No communication from them and I have organised council collection for old sofa and had someone coming to take my window out. Absolutely awful customer service. The lad on the phone couldn’t be bothered and was like tough.. said call back after delivery and maybe we can look at a goodwill gesture. Not happy

I ordered my canvas painting on Sunday

I ordered my canvas painting on Sunday, it was reduced and the countdown was on , due to finish Snday evening. When I looked at the same item the following day it had been further reduced by £70 . Very disappointd Following on from this I have received a call from the customer service team. Oak Furnitureland do a price match and I have been refunded the difference. Excellent service!

Furniture care/poor customer service.

Had a chest of drawers delivered in December 2023. By May 2024 a large crack appeared in the wood. After reporting the fault I was advised that nothing could be done because the furniture hadn't been waxed as soon as it was received. Apparently the necessity to wax the furniture was included on the invoice/T&Cs which was news to me. I eventually found reference to waxing on page 16 of a document accessed by downloading from a link right at the bottom of the order confirmation email. Hardly prominent placement of important information about care/warranty! Long story short, I spent a lot of money on an item which is now useless less than 6 months after it was delivered. Needless to say, I'll won't be shopping from Oak Furnitureland again.

Stephen our sales advisor was great . My wife explained what we needed and he took us straight to the furniture , with being elderly and walking round all the furniture in any shops is tiresome , but Stephen listened and knew exactly what we were looking ..
