There was a slight issue with my online order but the super helpful staff member, Marianne V, really went above and beyond to resolve the issue for me.
I received a birthday gift of 10 sample Penhaligon perfumes. Unfortunately 1 of the 10 bottles wouldn’t dispense so I contacted the company to report the issue. After explaining the problem & sending a video to demonstrate the issue I was sent a code to order a replacement with free delivery. Unfortunately the code didn’t work so I contacted the company again & this time 2 replacements were sent out directly. The person I was dealing with was Chloe & she was very helpful in resolving the problem.
The store in review is the Shin Mitsukoshi branch in Tainan, Taiwan. I first knew about this store when we were perfume-hunting last year. I was looking for a fresh green scent when one of the salesladies said she was excited for me to try one of their perfumes. It smelled amazingly beautiful and lasted the whole day; however, I didn't have the budget to purchase that perfume yet. I went back four months after but I forgot the name of the perfume, so the staff helped me. When I already found the perfume, one of the staff said I should try the perfume first on my skin. That was actually a good practice since it means that they want the customer to experience the scent first before purchasing. Anyway, because I already tried it on my skin, I simply purchased it. They also have a free engraving service but I didn't bother. In the shopping bag that they gave, they left a cardboard and lots of papers that smelled wonderful and has a strong projection. I think that scent lasted for two weeks.

Very dishonest business practices. I purchased a sample from here around 6 months ago with the promise and policy of 3 refills when it emptied. I’ve come in today for my first refill and have been told they have decided they no longer offer the refills on them. The refills was made out as the main selling point when I purchased and used to show the value for money on the sample. Be careful what you buy as they feel happy to shift goalposts at will. Throughly dissatisfied and won’t be returning.
Very knowledgeable staff, they really know their perfumes! Ask them and they can recommend new perfumes just by you telling them what type of scents you like.
This was my first experience shopping at Penhaligon's and the item I wanted went out of stock right at the moment I had it in my cart. Long story short, there were some technical difficulties but Marianne V went over and above to get them fixed, made alternate suggestions, and ensured I was happy with the resolution. I'm excited to say I'm awaiting my first and second orders. 😊 I will update again once they both arrive, with the welcome gift, and the courtesy credit for shipping due to having to break this all down into two smaller orders. I am very, very excited to receive these as a gift for my sister, who will be shocked at the gesture, and thrilled with the items. Updated: Marianne was nothing short of phenomenal with me. I have never been so needy with an order, due to the import of the gift and me being a new customer. By the time the orders were all delivered I think I have 30 emails to and from Marianne and feel like we are friends - I am that friend who is annoying the other person but they are still kind, still helpful, and still my friend. 🙂 My sister received her gifts on time, in perfect condition, and I was able to track them the entire way. I will not hesitate to order from here again.
Emilie K was great, I had a lot of dumb questions and she was very patient and helped me find what i wanted. On another note I think the Penhaligons website is slightly dodgy. It is extremely difficult to find a comprehensive list of your range of samples. A search for samples in the search box does not yield the sartorial sample and many others seem missing too. There is no obvious link to samples in the main menu. I searched Endymion samples, i know they exist but bloody hard to find. Maybe offer your samples along with the main product descriptors

I've shopped with penhaligons for years and spent a lot of money with the company. My last order (13th March) however did not arrive. I emailed to query this and was totally ignored (4th April). I will not be shopping with them in the future. Absolutely disgusted as a loyal customer to be treated in such an offhand manner. Disgraceful! NOTE: Penhaligon's flagged this review as containing 'harmful or illegal content'...thankfully Trustpilot saw though that.
