My orders went smoothly and were shipped immediately. Delays of a few days can occur with larger orders (in my case a frame) due to customs clearance. You may have to send the purchase confirmation and proof of payment. This is a normal process that I am always happy to accept. Everything was perfect on Planet-X's part, especially import duties and taxes were correctly calculated and paid. A review of the frameset, which makes a very good impression in advance, will follow. I have been a PlanetX and On-One fan since the Inbred 26 days. And have purchased quite a few through the years. PlanetX is a brand I have faith in its quality and service. Being in the north east United States. Most cyclists are not familiar with the brand here. My Whippet stands out in the crowd.
I’m a regular buyer and normally PX is fast and efficient. But it seems that website sometimes struggles with the purchase flow when stock is low. The website was not working well and kept glitching at the point of selecting the size. After 3 attempts I thought I had made order. Order then took 4-6 days to be processed as confirmation emails did not arrive as expected and when order did arrive it was wrong size (small not large) I have returned to be swapped.

Unfortunately I have had the worst experience with Planet X so far. As advertised on their website I have used a Halfords cycle to work voucher to make my £715 purchase. Unfortunately my voucher is an older style voucher so I have been in regular contact with the Halfords cycle to work team to get planetx's processing issue resolved and they have been brilliant however PlanetX have gone beyond being unhelpful. I think they limit email response to 1 a day and have no other way of contacting them. I placed my original order 30/04/2024 and am still waiting for them to simply process my voucher which has already been assigned to them by cycle to work so cannot be used elsewhere. There is no prior description on how they require the cycle to work voucher either which if there was I would have confirmed everything before making my purchase. At this moment in time I am waiting on either wayne or richard to learn the necessary steps to process my voucher which is being done on my time. 14 days currently and I haven't got anywhere yet. Extremely disappointed considering how much the cycling industry is struggling and all independents are being forced to shut due to being undercut. I get the moving with the times but to show no urgency or intrest in assisting with the purchse its a real shame as an independent would have an actual intrest in you as a customer. Very frustrated and disappointed this is deemed acceptable.

I’ve had a brilliant experience with Planet X and the customer service has been first class. I am now the very proud owner of a Holdsworth Helm titanium road bike which I am delighted with; it’s a really comfortable ride, looks classy and goes like a rocket. I got this for a winter bike but I plan to use it throughout the year alongside my summer bike to mix things up a bit. I would recommend Planet X and the Holdsworth Helm to others - really pleased with the bike and the quality of the customer service I have received.
