Honest advertising from this company! Everything they told me turned out to be true. Customer service. They are always accessible literally 24 hours a day. They are very proactive and reach out often to see how your plan is going. Always available for phone calls and advice. Quality product! My dog has never been better!
I initially tried Ollie, however, I found Farmer's DOG to be much better. My girls practically lick the metal off their bowls. More importantly, they are so healthy. I get compliments on their appearance and their shiny coats all the time. In the past, other dogs of my dealt with weight issues. I didn't want that with my new puppies. I calculated the cost of making their food myself, and the Farmer's DOG is about the same without all the work. A healthy dog doesn't run up vet bills and my are super healthy.
This is more a complaint about the company than the food. They give you too little food based upon the initial information you provide. Specifically, I described my dog as active when signing up for Farmer's Dog. It is a stretch to call my 8 year old dog "active" because she has severe allergies and stays inside all the time, but I described her as "active" to ensure she got enough food. Well, apparently it wasn't enough food and she started losing weight after starting on Farmer's Dog (and she started at a healthy weight). I contacted Farmer's Dog as the weight loss became excessive and they said they could give her more calories for an extra $30/month, bringing the total to a whopping $400/month. I would love to know how many people have the issue of their dog losing weight on this food and being forced to pay more for increasing the calories, because my guess is this happens frequently considering I marked my dog as more active than she is and it still wasn't near enough food. That said, my dog really likes the food but I'm going to see if there is a good alternative from a more reputable company.
Having the option to access customer service via SMS is a game-changer. Genaro assisted me with my inquiry in just two minutes, and I’ve never been so impressed with customer service before. Highly recommended for its efficiency and convenience!
Not only does our dog absolutely love this food, but since switching from dry kibble to this, he has dropped weight and is more energetic than ever! He can't keep his paws off of it. The support from this company is superb as well, there to help with an easy fix to any roadblocks you might run into while trying to get your pup their meals. If there are any issues, running low sooner than expected or shipping errors, they are always on top of it to give your good boy/girl the food they deserve in a timely manner.

I chose Farmer's Dog as an experiment for my dog, Fox. First, Customer Support (Nikki) worked with me and got food to me quickly. I was at my wit's end. My dog, Fox, has had intestinal problems since he arrived. We've taken him back and forth to the vet, given him numerous medications, and still, he had mushy and runny poop. I changed food and fed him regular chicken and rice and the problem persisted. So I decided to try Farmers Dog. This morning, after only a day and a half, we have regular poop. I know it may seem weird that a person would get excited about regular poop, but I am. I could not continue to see my poor puppy suffer. So, yes it is worth the cost.
i am writing with disappointment and donot go by there reviews on there own website. there food esp turkey and garbanzo beans i mean who puts garbanzo beans in dog food. it causes gas to human let alone poor dogs. it costed me $4000 to get his tummy issues resolved from ultrasound to xrays. my dog was really sick and poor thing had to go through IV and what not.
This company may be one of the best I’ve ever interacted with. We placed an order for our older dog that has had stomach issues his entire life and then just a day later he suddenly passed away. We reached out to The Farmers Dog to see if we could stop the order. They were so nice and stopped the order for us. Even though they stopped it, we still received it because it had shipped that quickly. We have another dog that we have been giving it to and she LOVES it. About a week went by and we received a package at our door. The Farmers Dog send us a beautiful plant and a card with condolences for our loss. I was in tears. They are so kind and I could not say more good things about this company. Thank you so much for truly caring about your customers and our pets!
I have both my babies on farmers dog for 2 mos now. My beagle/blue tick who was 67 lbs . I couldn't get his weight down no matter what I tried. Since being on Farmers Dog, Roscoe is losing weight ! We are well on our way for a healthier Roscoe 3yrs. He has more energy now and is playful again. His breath is better, his bowel movement firmer but no longer straining to potty. His urine better color and not smelling as strong. His shedding has decreased by 95% and his hair is so soft! Izzy is 71/2 yr old shitzu. She was such a picky eater ! Not anymore! She gobbles up her food. Her hair is so soft as well and shedding less also by 95% . Her energy in the 1st week was improved but by 2nd week Wow like a puppy again so much energy! Playing with her toys and running around playing with Roscoe! This by far is the best decision I've ever made for my babies! I'm confident now that we will have many years more to enjoy each other! I'm so thankful for Farmers Dog!

So very pleased with my order, and the meat selection smells good enough to eat ourselves, opened the venison one today and just lovely, the dogs wolfed it down. Highly recommend this company, they reply to emails and are helpful and supportive. Top drawer service

I have two dogs and they have been on The Farmers Dog for about one year. My small dog always eats his food but my large Sheepadoodle (1.5 years old) now all but refuses to eat her meals. I can't understand why, but it seems she has grown to dislike it. I think the beef is their favorite of the three options, but my larger dog will barely eat the chicken or pork unless she's missed her earlier meal. Sometimes the food smells bad.. I don't exactly blame my dog for her disinterest. I will be trying Ollie next and hoping I can get my dog eating again!
7 yrs ago I rescued a 4mo old, small mixed lab, dobie, pit from the SPCA for $35! Named him Tido! Within 2 years he grew to 80lbs and by 5yrs old he was 107 lbs! His Vet Dr Wood recommended I switch him to The Farmers Dog food from dry food (and lots of human food “treats”). Thank you Dr Wood! Tido is now 7yrs old and has lost 17 lbs of fat! He is as healthy as a dog can be and I will never change his eating plan away from The Farmers Dog food!
The Farmer's Dog is a blessing! We have 5 chihuahuas and used to make our pup's food from scratch. It took hours and hours each week, but we wanted the very best for them. However, it was hard to ensure the right amount of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals were included in each batch, so we decided to do some research. When we looked into The Farmer's Dog, we were pleasantly surprised in what we learned. Knowing that our precious pups are all getting human-grade quality, nutrient-rich, and tasty food means so much to us! It is so easy to customize and adjust meal plans for each of them based on their age, level of activity, and how many treats we give them. They love all 3 meal recipes as well as the Snap Sticks! My dogs like the food but they have forgotten food, screwed up labeling. I have 3 dogs and just got food where my smallest dogs name was on the biggest dog food and while I called to complain she gave me label numbers so I can figure it out but they just have an attitude as if they don't care.. Done with them. Not the quality I expected..watery food as well. Time to find something better. I expect more for the price.
My 15 year old Bichon recently had some teeth pulled & I switched from his kibble to Farmers Dog which he really enjoys. My only concern is that the Vet recommended food with less than or equal to 15% fat content. Farmers dog food is about twice that which is my only concern.
I have two dogs. One a senior Pitty and a 4 month old Saint Bernard. They both love the Farmer's Dog. I have used all mine and will be ready to order again soon. I wanted to and will try all the good frozen products out there so when I got my shipment of Farmer's Dog I cancelled because there was no way I could see to just order one box. But I have a feeling I will be back and the Farmer's Dog is going to win, but I have to be sure. I have a couple issues, but I left a 5 because 4.5 was not an option. The food comes frozen and on time The box is great. It comes with a plastic closing tray to keep the unused bag. Your tray is the best of all I have seen and believe me when I tell you I am trying them all. I can get the bags apart without a hammer (I tell you some send it so badly). I set out 3 because my dogs pretend they are starving and the rest I freeze. It is easy to freeze and make room for in my frig (again, love the tray) and freezer. The dogs love it. I toss it in the microwave for 20 seconds (thawed) and they are ever so happy. I am doing this with all the frozen I am trying and they now think the microwave means run to food. It looks good and smells good. It has the ingredients I want with one exception which I will note below. The food does not have freezer burn when you open it. Some do. Gross. Out of all I have tried so far the Farmer's dog is their favorite. Now, my little issues. My Saint Bernard is a Giant Breed dog and you don't make a recipe for Giant Breeds and this I find important, especially with a puppy who is growing so fast. I do have to supplement with wet canned Giant Breed dog food and some dry Giant Breed as well. There is just certain things they need. I don't have to do this with my Pit Bull, he is just considered Large Breed and your food is perfect for him. My second little issue is the bag. I can open it, no problem, I love the cut marks to show me where to cut for how much I want to give. But it is a tad messy, they all are so far, I have to use a spoon to get it all out and then it is on my hands. I wish you had one of those little plastic things at the bottom on the bag so I could just use that and out it would come out and the plastic tab thing (I have no idea what this is called) would just move up. I know that messes with the cut areas you have, but my pitty gets a full bag at his two meals a day. If you could do that, I would be happy to pay a wee extra for the ease. All in all I really love the Farmer's Dog. The web site is great. The customer service is wonderful and my dogs love it. So thanks for that.
My almost 10 year old mixed breed dog Skyler, has been eating Farmers Dog since November. She is visibly healthier and slimmer. People we’ve know for years have told us. The other day we were walking, and a friend who hadn’t seen her in a while said “Wow, look at Skyler!” What I wanted to share, however, is her energy level. Specifically, she’s back to playing with her toys. I’ve just recently noticed she’s is going back into to toy box, taking things out and actually playing with them! It’s been years since she’s done that. My daughter also noticed that her “utters” are gone as well, LOL 😆!!
