Very poor customer service, rude and unhelpful. No apology. I’ve reported this company to trading standards. Item name clearly states “with pillow case”on receipt. I acknowledged I missed the description but you have not admitted any fault on your side or suggested a solution to rectify.

Dont Order Wallpaper!

Ordered wallpaper and waited 10 days for delivery with no email update or contact from The Rug Seller. Very disappointed when eventually got hold of them to find the wallpaper out of stock. They said an email had been sent to me but nothing received. I would avoid using this company as they should automatically refund you if item ordered then turns out to be no longer available. Not good practice to hold the customers money when clearly you don't have the items for sale.

'second' quality rug & non-existent customer service

What went wrong this time Rug that was delivered looked to be a 'second' as the rug wasn't equal in dimensions and there was a noticeable wrong weave in the middle of the rug. Contacted their 'customer services' and followed this up separately by email twice more, and still not even an acknowledgement of receiving the query to try to remedy this. How can the company improve Respond to customers who have spent a not insignificant amount of money with your company and are looking for aftercare Remember to be honest helpful and constructive Honest - non-existent customer service, however delivery was quick (hence added 1 star) Helpful - I would advise others to try elsewhere Constructive - address the quality check of the stock and/or invest in some customer service - and also perhaps absorb the returns fees Update to respond to reply below: The Rug Seller CS (Leonie - customer service manager) responded to my email on 25 April 2024 at 09:48. They said that as it's a natural product it will have slight imperfections - really? - and that a replacement would likely have an imperfection, before also adding that I would have to arrange and pay for the return. So confirming the poor customer experience I have had with the Rug Seller. So my suggestion to others is to shop elsewhere.

No delivery, no contact

Ordered some wallpaper from them a couple of weeks ago, no items received. Attempted to contact them by email, online chat, phone and Amazon pay, no response. In the process of raising a claim through Amazon pay A to Z guarantee. My advice would be to steer well clear of this company. Rug seller reply noted, I am not aware of any contact from the rug seller. Appears to be a standard reply !

Amazing - product and customer service

Delighted with my rug (aurora glacier) and with service provided. Great price (i compared with others). Customer service second to none - small flaw in rug, contacted them by email, immediate response and replacement sent the next working day. Really pleased with service and product - will definitely use again

Not at all the colours shown on the website

The rug we chose was a William Morris design and was called Seasons by May - Saffron. It was in the Easter sale and cost just over £850. When it arrived it did not look at all like the rug we had chosen. The rug was a muddy green background and not at all the vibrant yellow/saffron shown. It said the rug was made by Morris and Company but it felt cheap and was not at all of the quality we felt it should be. We phoned The Rug Seller and emailed photos but got the response that we had the correct order. It cost us £72 to return the rug by courier and The Rug Seller did not refund us this money as they did not agree that the rug was different to that shown on the website. Be very careful when ordering from this company. AS YOU CAN SEE THE RUG SELLER HAVE TOLD ME THAT THE CORRECT COLOURS WERE AS SHOWN BUT I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHS TO SHOW THEY WERE NOT. BE CAREFUL BUYING FROM THIS LOT.

Shocking service!!!

The rug didn't look like how it was on the website. It was a grey rug with white lines (Morrocco style rug). The white lines were wide, thick and long on some parts of the rug, and thin and short in other places. I tried hoovering it, but it did not change it's appearance. I tried moving/spreading the rug with my hands but it made no difference. You could not see the lines at all in some areas. I e-mailed the rug seller twice about this, and I was fobbed off twice by saying that it's due to the pile height and direction and denied that it was faulty, although I did send photos comparing it to the one on the website. It was either misleading or faulty. I have had to arrange my own return with a courrier and paid £18 to have it returned, and I will won't be able to claim the return costs. Appauling service by the Rug Seller and terrible customer service. Don't bother ordering from this website! Shocking! I won't be buying from them again!

Fabulous Company with excellent prices…

Fabulous Company with excellent prices and friendly, helpful staff. We found a beautiful rug but before buying we went home to measure and check that we were getting a good price. After a quick search The Rug Seller had the same rug but £160 cheaper so we bought it and everything was perfect with the order. Anyway, a few weeks later we ordered a second rug that we'd only seen online. Sadly once we laid it out it wasn't for us. Returning it could not have been easier. Thank you to you all.

They should not be trading there was a no star I would…

If there was a no star I would definitely have used it I buy a lot of goods online and I must say most of the time they are very good even excellent I have never used the rug seller before and I will never use again Over 6 weeks I have been waiting for a rug They never had it in stock but still took my payment no communication from them I had to send numerous emails and numerous phone calls only to be fobbed off with rubbish excuses the customer service is appalling they are totally disinterested in helping at all,at the end I went to pay pal to get my money back Don’t use this company they are good at taking your money,keeping it and nothing else they are appalling and should not be trading And leaving a rubbish response on this site it was resolved because I got my money back steer clear of this company

Wrong colour Laura Ashley bedding

I order the Laura Ashley dove grey bedding set which IS NOT dove grey as I have the wallpaper to compare. I bought this colour bedding to match the wallpaper and the bedding sent it the same colour as the ‘natural’ colour josette range. I sent an email complaining about this to the company and received a brush off response in return. Very unhappy

Tell the whole truth and keep customers updated

Something has gone wrong with the Rug Seller recently. After ordering a duvet cover that was showing in stock I am still waiting almost ; weeks later. Like one of the other reviews I too had no contact and have had to chase. For me, I was able to get through on the 3 weekly chase ups. Twice I have gotten through straight away on the phone and once only a ( minute delay on web chat so at least The Rug Seller is getting that right. After today’s call to them I seem to be getting a clearer picture. 1.the duvet cover is NOT in stock with them. They get it from a supplier in Northern Ireland 2. There appear to be problems with their supplier. Whilst I have some sympathy for problems not of their making i really do not appreciate being fobbed off and not told the truth about the delays. First I was told it would be by the end of the week. The next week I was told it would be a few more days. Last week I was told that the warehouse had made a mistake and it was still in the warehouse and would be dispatched this week and delivery to me by the end of this week. Today I was told it would be received by the Rug Seller today or Monday. I find it misleading to paint a picture of my order being in stock in the Rug Sellers warehouse only to find it is coming from N Ireland with associated custom delays. Sadly you cannot trust anything from the Rug Seller. Be honest from the start and keep your customers updated!

Shocking experience…

Shocking experience-l ordered some pillow cases from here to match a duvet cover l had purchased elsewhere. Weeks after placing the order, which l was advised would be received within 5-10 working days, l had no pillowcases and no communication about the delay. On chasing this l was advised they woukd be received into their warehouse later that week and dispatched early the following week. A week later and no pillowcases and no update, so yet again l had to contact them. Again told expecting them and should be with me the following week. At this point l gave up! I am not sure how you can sell a product, take money for it and weeks later still not have it. I am contacting trading standards. Update - l did receive updates but only in response to my requests. I ended up having to cancel the order as after weeks of waiting there was still no confirmed date of delivery. I am still waiting for my refund which l have been advised has been processed but takes another 3-5 working days. You will have had my money for around 6 wks by the time this eventually comes through. Absolutely appalling!
