We ordered artificial grass for a small area. Very happy with the quality. However I was given an ETA of before 9:20am, driver arrived at 12:15. I had to waste a half day of annual leave due to this, and we didn’t receive the glue which we had paid for.
Can't fault TileMerchant for their exceptional customer service. Always a pleasure to deal with & deliveries arrive within 24 to 48 hours.
Fast delivery and fantastic product
I purchased tiles and after job completion I had an excess. I emailed Tile Merchant to ask if I could return them by replying to the email with the invoice. I got a reply (with no name so the sender was unidentifiable) stating I could return the tiles subject to a restocking fee. My husband drove 1hour 20 minutes to return the tiles on the basis of the email, to be met by an abrupt warehouse manager in the Ballymount store. He was told 'no, can't return them' My husband showed the emails to the man at reception who was equally as unhelpful and said 'send another email' After two phone calls, I was told the tiles cannot be returned due to the amount of time that has passed since the order. This is very poor aftercare and service and disappointing that my husband had to waste his time due to poor management and the company not standing over its staffs instruction which were written.
Edit to respond to reply: This happened in the Ballymount store on 10/05/24 at approximately 12:30-1:30 for both visits. There were two staff members sitting at the desks beside the door and this was the male staff member. Possibly the worst customer service experience we have ever had. We had been directed to tile merchant ballymount by another nearby tile shop as we needed somewhere that keeps tiles in stock. We couldn’t find the type of tile we wanted so my husband asked (clearly mistakenly!) somebody if he knew if another nearby tile shop kept stock on site. The person took extreme offence to this and sarcastically replied ‘how would I know’. So we left at this point, managed to get tiles elsewhere but this shop recommended us to go to tile merchant for one final product so we decided despite the earlier unpleasant service we would go back. However this was clearly a mistake as the rude individual from the first visit remembered the apparently majorly offensively question and it was brought up again with him telling my husband his question was ‘disrespectful’ and then proceeded to tell him that if he stood up from his chair it would be bad for him. So not just rude but also straight out threatening customers. I understand people have bad days but this individual was still holding a grudge 30 minutes later when we returned over a very innocent question.
I got exactky what I ordered. It was delivered promptly and I was able to track it. Value for money. No messing.

We were looked up and down in the Ashbourne branch and not one member of staff spoke or asked if we needed help with anything. I know how much this particular project will cost I terms of materials and we will be buying somewhere else

Unfortunately we were recommended the wrong colour grouting. We wanted a grey grout with our tiles and the one that was recommended turn out to be white grouting so now we have white grouting instead of grey.
We ordered artificial grass from this company, we couldn't have been happier with the quality of the grass and the customer service from start to finish was amazing. The delivery driver although I can't remember his name was very helpful on delivery and helped us get the grass into our back garden even though he didn't need to and it was very much appreciated. I highly recommend The Tile Merchant and will 100% shop here again
I placed an order last Sunday (website states 1 -2 days delivery), I received a phone call Monday morning saying delivery would be today, Saturday. I was cross as I have work men waiting, anyway as I had no option that had to be ok. Having waited in all day, today and no delivery I phoned at 15:35 to be told it hadn't been sent out. Some story about the order not 'being sent across'. Never again!
The price of the outdoor heater I bought was so good I was concerned it may be flimsy. Its not. Its exactly the same as ones I've seen on other sites for up to 50 and 60 euro dearer. It was delivered in less than 48 hours and works brilliantly. Can't fault either the product or the service.

I ordered cobbles from the internet site and they showed as available. I took time off work and drove 25 miles to Greenougue to collect and they had no stock. I then had trouble getting my refund and was promised a call back regarding this refund but never got the call. Had to chase and make calls to organize the refund. Very bad and disappointing experience with Tile merchant.
