Due to an incompatibility of parts and a very long delay in action on their part, I was left with no choice but to return my purchase and go elsewhere. Customer service did not know what they were selling and could not complete a simple task of communicating with their suppliers, a task I succeeded in under 20 minutes. I was still waiting 6 days later.

TLDR: Great product at a great price, unfortunately delivery was said to be next day but ended up being 4 days later. I ordered a combi drill from Toolstop (the Dewalt DCD805) after searching online and finding the price to be much cheaper than quite a few alternative stores and finding great reviews overall for Toolstop. I was a little concerned with the price that maybe it would be some kind of knock-off or maybe it would come with a charger that had a different plug or something but nope, it’s the real deal with the correct plug on the charger and everything. I’ve used it for a bit of light work so far, some drilling into wood and screwing in fixings and it worked brilliantly so a great product at a great price. The one unfortunate thing was the delivery. I ordered on a Friday morning and was surprised to see that it said order now for Saturday delivery, which is an added bonus as I wasn’t expecting to get it until sometime the next week. I went through the process of ordering and at the checkout it still said delivery Saturday, got the email receipt which said the same so I thought I was all set. As this was next day delivery I thought that I would see the status of the order on the website change throughout the day to say that it had been shipped or something and was on its way but instead it just said awaiting shipment all day. I then got a text message in the evening from a company I’ve never heard of called APC which said they would deliver my tools order on the following Tuesday and had a consignment number. However there was no mention of tracking the delivery, clicking on the consignment number didn’t take me to any tracking website, in fact it only showed me options for copying the number. I had no email from Toolstop to say that my order would be delivered by this company, APC, or that it was going to be delivered on Tuesday instead of Saturday so I didn’t know what to believe at this point. I should also mention here that it was a bank holiday Monday the next week so I assume that’s why Tuesday was the day that was chosen rather than Monday but that doesn’t explain why it wasn’t Saturday. I didn’t receive any updates on Saturday and didn’t receive my drill so I suspected the text message was correct about Tuesday delivery. I received no more updates at all in fact so on Tuesday morning as I was wondering if the drill was indeed going to be delivered I looked back at the Toolstop website that still said awaiting shipment and back at the message from APC and at this point decided to search on Google for “APC consignment number” to find that it did indeed present a tracker on the APC website, finally something I can use to see updates. The APC website was actually very good, it showed the journey for the item, it told me when it was out for delivery, what number stop I am and what number the delivery driver is on, it showed an estimated delivery time window of 2 hours and it had a map and showed where the delivery driver was which was updated regularly (although you have to click out of the tracker and back in to get it to update which means inputting your consignment number and post code each time). It’s a shame I didn’t receive any further updates from them after Friday evening or perhaps better to have a link to the tracker in the message and some explanation to say that I could track it there from now on... Finally in the middle of the day I had an email from Toolstop to say that my order status had changed to shipped and it still said delivered by the Saturday even though we were already past Saturday and now on Tuesday. So I suppose the summary is that luckily for me I didn’t need the delivery to be next day that was just going to be a bonus but for some others that could be a major problem. However the drill is great and the price was great so I would definitely order from Toolstop again, with the caveat that I may not fully trust the delivery date provided.
