Khanum’s is more than just a clothing brand - it’s a celebration of women, rooted in community, culture and empowerment. The very name ‘Khanum’ means women of honour, status and strength. Our founder, Rokeya Khanum, embodies that spirit. Raised in East London by Bangladeshi immigrant parents who worked as garment factory tailors, she was exposed to garment production and craftsmanship from an early age. As a young single mother navigating hostels and hardship, she defied every expectation placed on her. She earned her law degree, pursued a corporate career and eventually founded Khanum’s to carve out a new narrative - not just for herself, but for women like her.
